Game 3 White at Green

1^st Period

7:27 Nikkila takes the zone and leaves the puck for Hubbard rushing in from the right, Zyrek was set for the shot  but not Hubbard’s pass across the front of the net to Huck, Huck’s tip was one for the highlight reel up and  over the sliding Zyrek 1-0 Green.  7:03 Stempien takes the puck in firing the shot, Balmas made the save, Adams clearing attempt was thwarted by Camper who slapped the puck past the diving Balmas all tied up. Green got a 5 on 3 power play and White shuts them down.  Whites penalty killing was working overtime being out for almost half the period.

2^nd

8:09 Green figured it work once let’s try it again and it did this time Huck sets up his own goal, with a pass to Nikkila cutting across mid-ice, Nikkila took the zone and passed to  Hubbard on the right side Huck following the play took Hubbard’s pass and put it past Zyrek.  2-1 Green.  5:48 Hubbard digs the puck from the corner feeding Nikkila, Nikkila spun throwing the puck to the net just missing the post, on the inside side , great for Green, 3-1 Green.  2:57 Carpenter pressuring the D kept the puck in and got to Nikkila for his second of the night 4-1 Green

3^rd

Green spent the period killing the clock sending White back to their zone, with little to no fore checking.   Then at 2:59 Dietzel saw the opening sending a pass to the wide open Dubetz, Dubetz found Camper on the right side, and bingo bango it was past Balmas 4-2 Green.   That’s all she wrote it was all over, but there is beer.  Green says go Gold!!!   Check out the stats, if Gold beat Black and Green beats Red, we could have a season ending championship game in two weeks with Green facing Gold for the coveted title and home ice advantage in the playoffs,  if-if-if.  See ya all next week.
