Game 1 Blue at Gold

1^st Period

8:27 Gold breaks out of the zone with Lou Bishop going to the weak side, around the back of the net to defense partner Joe Grazioli, Grazioli’s pass to Ficorelli hit the tape and Gold was off to the races, Ficorelli slid the puck past Blue’s D, Mansky chased it down fired a shot, Bohr made the save, but Tom Brown was there and tipped the puck up it was one of those moments  when everything goes slow motion as the fans and Bohr watched the puck butterfly over Bohr and into the net. 1-0 Gold.  Everything settled down until 3:42 when Honkanen dropped the puck back to Scully, Scully took the puck from behind his blue line, putting the moves on Gold’s D breaking in all alone on Iannello (TBAPGITL) Scully slid the puck under Iannello to tie the game 1-1.

3^rd 

9:25 A faceoff to the left of Bohr, Blue draws it back to the corner.  The clearing attempt is tipped by Maceachern right on to Mansky’s stick with a clear shot from the hash mark, Bohr coming off post couldn’t quite make it as Manky’s shot just over the out stretched glove rang off the lower side of the crossbar and in. 2:1 Gold. 9:09 Gold struck again when Johnson’s saucer  pass flipped over Barket’s stick sending Pozzo to the net, Pozzo shot was along the ice and under Bohr.  3-1 Gold.  Setting up the possibility of a third attempt for Gold take first place.
