Game 1 Green  at Gold

Late in the period, (3:27)  Solnik got it started with the pass to Brown. Brown took the puck through center, drawing the (D) over which opened up the lane for Mansky, Mansky’s move tied up Zyrek the shot was perfect. 1-0 Gold (Zyrek stated  in the postgame interview he was almost asleep not used to having that much defense in a game let alone the first period) Green came back fast (1:04) McKenzie, to Mulcahey, Mulcahey took it around the net feeding Pyc in front, Nothing Iannello (Prettiest Untrained Shot Stopping Indisputable Expert) could do.  1-1 all tied up on to the 2^nd.

2^nd.

Gold had chances early and the best one at (8:33) when Grazioli held the zone, side stepping the breakout, the pass to Mansky was on the money, and Ficorelli was all alone in front nothing but net. 2-1 Gold.  Green answered   again (5:16) Nikkila picking up the loose puck near center ice Duane seeing the opportunity checked at the blue and followed the play in, staying open in the slot, Iannello playing the shot couldn’t get back across in time Duane made 2-2. (0:16) It looked like the period was over when Huck instead of dumping the puck and killing the clock saw Nikkila deep in the zone and made the pass, Nikkila moved through the circle Iannello again had the shot covered but not Carpenter, his shot was just inside the post 3-2 Green  at the end 2

3^rd.

Green had the lead and that was that a lot of center ice play.  Green’s defense was stacked tight.  Maybe Green’s using a page from the Devil’s old handbook.
