Game 2 Black – vs – Gold

Who wants first place? Oh!!!!!!!WHITE WON!!!!!!!!

1st

Black started the show at the drop of the puck, (9:30) Dan Murphy took the puck in, Chuck Taormina was open on the far side… the pass was tape to tape no chance for Bill (TBAPGITL) Iannello! The puck was in the back of the net…. it looked easy. 1 - 0 Black (The Emperor smiled). Gold answered big with (3) first period goals and Billy (TBAPGITL) Iannello hung up the closed sign, nothing opened here. (8:02) Joe Grazioli’s pass to Dan Ficorelli, to Tom Brown, a perfectly placed shot 1 - 1. (1:38) Ficorelli’s hard work paid off again, getting the puck to Brown who hit Ron Maceachern. Maceachern’s shot was on the mark, 2 - 1 Gold. (0:50) Meceachern from Rob Solnik. 3 - 1 Gold at the end of 1.

2nd

Gold kept up the attack, but Black’s D showed up and Jeff Herr was solid while facing a barrage of shots. Finally another break. (6:40) Gold was in control as Greg Pozzo carried the puck across the zone. Rob Solnik, from the opposite point, dropped into the high slot and called for the puck. Pozzo threaded the needle and so did Solnik, 4 - 1 Gold. It looked like Gold was going wrap it up, but Black had other ideas. (6:14) Dave Peltier, all alone, managed to get one by (TBAPGITL) Iannello. 4 - 2 Gold. Lets go to the third.

3rd

It started out to look just like the first. (9:27) again Murphy taking control from the drop of the puck to Taormina getting to open ice then Brian Hazen jumps into the play to put the puck in. 4 -3 Gold. (8:45) Paul Morgan puts on a show, a juke to the right, a twist left, a quick turn around and a snap shot to the upper right side of the net. 4 - 4. Who wants first place? Black didn’t stop here. (4:54) Bob Smith kept the puck in and worked it to Kenji (Emperor) Fujita and (Johnny on the spot) Peltier picked up his second of the night giving Black the lead 5 - 4. Gold pulled (TBAPGITL) Iannello with just over a minute left and Dan Ficorelli hit pay dirt with (0:25) on the clock. 5 - 5 what a game! Oh!!!!!! WHITE WON!!!!!!
