Game Comments :
Red started the scoring early, Blain, from Maceachern and Choinard. It was as Micky would say Bing, Bang Boom! Nothing Mike could do as Blain shot the puck right along the ice through a forest of legs and sticks. Then less than (2) minutes later Mike Foley lit the light on a pass from Omand and brother Tim. It looked like Orange was shut down with just under 2 minutes left in the first, then Gualdoni broke up the right side letting low a wrist shot go and it found the five hole. The end of one, the score was 2 - 1 Red. Early in the 2nd, Pozzo made it look easy like skating through the pylons and flipped one past Billy (TBGITL) to make it 2/2. Later (6:09) in the period Poz showing a blast of speed, was on his way to a breakaway but a tug here and wack there, and, boys will be boys, led to a brawl in the corner. A guy in an orange jersey (Jim Scully) throwing haymakers, kind of looked like the old Philly Fliers (Broad Street Bullies). Both of the boys were sent to showers. Both teams had to adjust, Orange losing their number one center felt the pressure, but after all the excitement, despite a barrage of shots, the goalies would not allow the puck past, and the score stayed tied 2 - 2 at the end of 2. At the 7:52 mark in the third, Grady’s shot got past Billy (TBGITL) on a pass from Barket, put Orange out on top, followed by Dennis (there wasn’t a whistle) Murphy and good thing for Orange, there wasn’t one, as Murphy pulled the puck off Billy’s (TBGITL) stick and hit it home. Red would not quit with 5:19 left as Maceachern knocked the puck in on a pass from Honkanen and Blain. Red was pressing hard for a goal but Orange played the lock just kept sending the puck back down the ice. At the end of 3 it was 4 - 3 Orange
